Apologies to the Iraqi National Congress for sticking my nose in their business, but shouldn't they be planning for the rebuilding of their country's institutions and infrastructure, and restoring the Iraqi people's dignity? Aren't these issues just a wee bit more important than normalizing relations with Israel? Don't they have anything better to do?

I personally don't care whether they normalize relations with Israel or not; it's their prerogative. But surely it won't gain them any currency with the skeptical Iraqi people..or the rest of the Arab world. They'll just be seen as stooges of AIPAC and the neo-conservative cabal, and the US will just confirm every Arab's worst fears.
