Can anyone from the US please verify this? "According to Franklin Graham, son of the Rev Billy Graham, missionaries disguised as relief workers are "poised and ready" to roll into Iraq to provide for post-war "spiritual needs". Graham, who has publicly called Islam a "wicked" religion, is a confidant of George Bush and led prayers at his inauguration. And he has been joined in his holy war for the souls of the Iraqi Muslims by the Southern Baptist Convention, a key supporter of the Bush presidency".
A visit to the Southern Baptist Convention's website only yielded a story about chaplains meeting soldiers' spiritual needs, with a very hip looking preacher in the photo. And then I found this article. Then one thing led to another, and I came upon this site, which starts out harmlessly as a site urging love for Muslims, yet inside is this rather unsettling statement:"Muslims do not understand or accept Gods ultimate expression of His love shown in Christs life, death and resurrection. They focus on Gods holiness, justice and power. They strive to earn His favor and entry into heaven through obedience to Islamic law, good deeds and acts of self-sacrificing devotion. Muslims live within a protective wall of laws, traditions and relationships that separates them from Gods love. Your prayers take His love beyond the wall"
What the @#$% does any of that mean??!! Rest assured that even if this is indeed a "crusade" as some overexcited Muslims seem to believe, I seriously doubt that Iraqis' faith could be so easily shaken by a bunch of visiting missionaries. There will be no forced conversions to Christianity so give the Iraqi people some credit.
