Traffic

I discovered this morning that whether I leave the house at 7.45 or 8.00 I will still get to the office by 8.15. So, I will reset my alarm clock for an extra 15 minutes of valuable sleep time. And that - as future jailbird Martha Stewart always said - is a good thing.

I also want to express my anger at the stupid "restaurant" مطعم الرميح located at the mouth of Fahd Al-Salem Street on the roundabout, next to the Four Points Hotel. Their crazy, slave-driven waiters literally throw themselves at any car that passes by and may have resulted in more accidents than I care to count. I also noticed in the afternoon, driving home, that some cars park on the tip of the island at the beginning of the street so they can eat their sandwiches in their car from that same place! They could care less if they are obstructing traffic, or causing accidents!

WHERE ARE THE GODDAMN COPS?!

  1. I do not understand how if you wake up at 8, you can still be at work at 8.15? I mean is your house next to the office. 15 minutes is time you need for shower and stuff.

  5. Hey, cops don't do mornings; they're too tired standing all night @ chk points, especially @ the roundabouts, looking 4 the drunken fellows so they can get higher ranks, or passing their mobile no.'s to girls for a chance to get laid @ the time u go to work.
Sheba: try Monera restaurant in Salmiyah

  11. Zaydoun ya 7abibi, what you want to do is find The Zone.
it will allow you to leave your house within a 3 minute window of opportunity and get to work/skool without any traffic. If your skills in finding the Zone are as good as mine (yes im allowed to toot my own horn :P )you should be able to ride into work with all traffic lights on green and into those hard-to-find parking spots conviniently located by the entrance of your office/skool. Now, if you are really as good as me :P the zone will allow you to stop by a bakala and get a pack of cigs to smoke on your way to skool, but that my dear, takes years of practice and observation.
One thing to keep in mind is that the Zone only works in the mornings, at the evening its a jungle out there...

  12. hehehehehehehe Just as i was thinking blogging is getting boring by the day, i come in here to see Zaydoun complain about his fonts, which are now big enough for my mother to enjoy, bu 7afs writing and translating arabic to english in arabic LOL and Mishu talking about "years" of experience & attempting to include arabic in his comments (even though its copy pasted)! Zaydoun, you're bridging gaps!

    Bless you all!

Oh & Rabab, thank you for Monera recommendation but where in Salmiya please?
