- Is it me or is there an increase in the number of trucks, cement mixers and tractors roaming the streets and roads during peak driving times?
- Has anyone noticed the number of new outdoor cafes springing up in Salmiya on the street? Should be nice in winter. Kuwait now has its own cafe society!
- Do you think the traffic cops ever took any classes in traffic rules? They drive worse than the general public!
- Why are people stocking up food as if we were in the middle of a war?

Zaydoun, are you new here? :)
ReplyDeleteI know they're stocking up for Ramadan, but last time I checked the shops and supermarkets remain open and there's enough food here to feed Africa! :-P
ReplyDeleteI try to avoid talking to cops
OK, so there's a construction boom. That's great but there's an allocated time slot where these oversize vehicles can go down certain roads. I don't want a cement mixer cutting me off during rush hour!
ReplyDeleteZaydoun: no, because if the construction companies had to arrange for a more convenient time for you, we would lose money. if the big companies lose money, then small ones and then individuals and it would generally hurt the already striken kuwaiti economy. the porblem is not the trucks, but rather the roads arent built to handle that much traffic. maybe you should take a drive around shuwaikh, the indurstrial sector, a few blocks behind al-boom and see what a congregation of trucks looks like ;-)
