Same kind of upbringing here. Abdel-Halim and Fairuz ruled our home, and that is why Mansour Rahbani's passing is more important to me than..... never mind ;-)

  8. Wow, it describes exactly what happened to my life.

As for loving my parents, I only realizded it in the summer of 2008. If you love them, they'll love you back no matter how different you are. But I still wouldn't want to break their hearts.

  11. the problem is that all people that made those cupboards these day, they take it with them everywhere on their backs, and when they see someone carrying a different cupboard, they smash the hell out of it on the back of the other person.. they use those cupboard as weapons.. they never leave it in their own home >(

  15. Lovely.

I'm a half-breed whose dad made her learn how to use and not be afraid to use solder and a soldering gun, drills with various sized drill bits, and phillips head screwdrivers by the age of 10. Also to make turkey leg machboos. No manuals. It was all done by feeling one's way through using intuition, skill and experience and those scary tools to fix those things that constantly needed fixing from time to time. And to see that using turkey legs instead of chicken could actually make quite a delicious machboos.

At the heart of all dogma is human terror and the need to feel that there is order and control. And there is, just not the kind we have created and convinced ourselves of.

  16. I use to think that if people came with instructions it would be easier however I see it would make no difference, we all have our own way of seeing life.
