I'm all for enhanced security to protect customer account information online, especially these days, but seriously NBK... what the f*%k were you thinking when you implemented the new security measures on Watani Online?! The bloody e-PIN wasn't enough?!
Talk about 1 step forward, 5 steps back!! Making your customers jump through rings of fire just to get to their accounts... I followed the extremely confusing steps to set up my new "security measures" and was asked a battery of questions, everything from my favorite airline to where I graduated to my favorite actor or actress.. That one trips me up every time because I can't remember if I said Robert Downey or Robert Downey Jr.
And then they make you choose one image from a huge list of cartoon-like pictures and give it a name. Yes, just like that... you can easily pick a picture of a dog and call it a cat; they won't argue. And finally when you're done you get to pick a password (which you could've done without all that, but what do I know?)
If you're a casual monthly user like me, all of the above is worthless. I just attempted to log in and failed to answer any of the questions correctly. Or maybe I didn't fail; the real problem is that the site doesn't tell me where I messed up. Was it one of the questions? Was that image of a dog really called a dog? Was my password incorrect? Nobody seems to know, least of all me!
Of course, my last and only resort was to call the Hala Watani service, where I was put on hold forever and told by the disembodied voice to call later!
So now I'm stuck.... if anyone at NBK is reading this, please do something!
UPDATE: I managed to "crack the code" and got into my account, only to find that my entire list of saved transfer beneficiaries - both local and international - has vanished into thin air. I'm sure NBK has some lame explanation for this, but at this point I really don't want to hear it!
