How many civilians have been killed so far in this conflict? As truth is the first casualty of war, we won't know the exact number for a while. And I'm certainly not inclined to believe Iraqi TV or CNN or even CENTCOM, so I'll wait for figures from the Red Crescent and the Red Cross. So far, unofficial figures stand at 1,252 dead and more than 5,000 injured.
Meanwhile, over 1,000 people were slaughtered in the "Democratic" Republic of Congo just this past weekend. Did anyone notice or care?
