If there's one thing I'm really looking forward to after this war is over and Saddam is destroyed, it's the silencing of one Abdel-Bari Atwan. Here he claims that Bush's major achievement in this war is the elevation of Saddam Hussein from villain to folk hero across the Arab world. While that may indeed be true, nowhere in this article does he admit to his own contributions to this elevation and his screaming tirades on Al-Jazeera, in defense of this most reprehensible of regimes. Wasn't it Atwan himself who called the sandstorms "divine intervention" a couple of weeks ago?
