12 Million Passengers?!

Al-Qabas reports that Sheikh Sabah issued a statement declaring that Kuwait International Airport will be redeveloped to be able to receive 12 million passengers per year. Does this mean the ludicrous land fees that sent many major airlines away from Kuwait will be reduced? Are these 12 million visitors to Kuwait or transit passengers? And how about those ugly pink signs dotting the terminals? No more of those please!!

Has anyone been to the makeshift "business lounge" (if one can call it that) at Kuwait Airport? It's run by a company I've never heard of before and the less said about it, the better!

  1. i have nothing against pink. i think the pink ipod mini is nice and if i was a girl or gay i would wear more pink myself. but a pink airport.. come on.. i am glad you brought this up cuz i have always hated the pink. Kuwait is Blue. Kuwait Airways is Blue. So where did the pink come from?? Whos daughter was in charge of the redecorating???

  2. The standard sign color in all airports around the world is yellow. But I would've settled for blue.. anything but that ugly pink!!

  3. I made a few inquiries, and it seems the former head of civil aviation has a preference for bright colors. International standards be damned!

  5. A million passenger per month will arrive....to see our famous Flamengo pink signs.

Some of those 12 million will expect cocktails when they wait in their first class lounge . NOT just Starbucks and Burger King!

  6. I believe there may be another reason for the pink. It's been found out that pink/reddy calms down the person. Blue heightens the violent tendencies. They may be trying to avert violence in the airport. I think it's a good idea. Sorry I don't have a link. If you go searching you might find something.

  10. Chill out, will ya? Zaydoun should post some pictures of the pink signs around the airport, and then you try suppressing violent tendencies to knock them down for being so damn ugly!
