Kuwait 2; Saudi Arabia 1

  2. Countrymen don?t get so excited the win was a fluke, the corruption in sport still exists the root of the problem is not treated .

  3. OK fine... but can't we enjoy the win for a few moments? Don't be such a kill-joy!

  4. The carbon dioxide pollution is only just one of the many other pollutants that exist in the air which exceed limits set in many countries. So when that rain falls on you, do not be so excited, as you have no idea what is encapsuled inside that rain particle.

  5. Can we please stick to the subject of Kuwait/Saudi football rivalry?

  6. I believe this joy was simply because Saudia Arabia has been perceived as a challenge in football. I really didn't expect the Kuwaiti team to win yesterday. I was so happy they did. I haven't cheered or screamed during a football game in so long. It felt good!

  7. zaydooun!! The game was really incredible! It was a well played game, very excited, had everything ud want in a match......goals, missed penalties, great crowds, excellent comeback, beautifully taken goals (saudi first), nailbiting intense goals (kuwait's second), red cards.....pure entertainment!! Yistahlooon ilshabaab, really! Best thing about our team is its youth!
Reason for maseera and all the excitement is because we beat Saudi, not because we won! This was the first win for us against Saudi in more than 4 years, and more importantly, any Kuwait vs Saudi game is basically a game between a team (Kuwait) with history wanting to relive old glories and prove that we are the best in the region, and another team (Saudi) representing the current power in the region, winning all the Asian cups and Gulf cups and reaching the World Cup the past three times. Its the 'renewed old gaurd' against the 'new kids on the block' in a way, alot of history and competitiveness between the two, they stole our glory, yesterday was a step towards regaining something! Personally, to me this win was more important than the cup itself, although I still hope we get it!

One bad thing about the game - Best player went to Ritha Takar?!!? 3ala shino?? for letting the ball amateurishly pass him as the last defender and conceding a goal on his own team in a way?!? WTF? What about Msa3ad Nida?? Scored a goal, beautifully assisted in the other goal, and SOLID defending throughout!

  8. That sort of explains the rivalry, which is normal between any 2 national teams. It's just I sensed a disturbing hostility beyond football and sports... I hope it was just exaggerated.

  9. Don't be too happy Kuwaitis! You won it by the mistakes of Saudis. Missing a penalty and then a stupid red card for Mohammed Nour was more than you could wish for. And finally that ugly play by Toakr. You were also lucky to get Mesa'ad Nada's free kick which was going outside in the hand of the defender to score the equlizer.
I just wish Saudi to face Kuwait in the final. That will be the best possible final for the tournament.
