Playlist March 10 - 16

I posted this week's playlist earlier around 8pm, but the bloody Blogger server screwed up and lost the entire post. I had to go out so I couldn't be bothered to do it again right away, but here it is now:
  1. هديل - يسري شريف: Hilarious موال by a jilted Egyptian to his ex-girlfriend.
  2. Aberfeldy - Love Is An Arrow: A simple pop song by this Scottish band, describing "love" in highly original and unexpected ways.
  3. Sufjan Stevens - Winner Needs A Wand: Gorgeous track from this multi-talented singer.
  4. KT Tunstall - Black Horse and the Cherry Tree: This footstomping bluesy track is a great introduction to this talented newcomer.
  5. Keane - This Is The Last Time: I know I've probably bored you with how much I love Keane, but this is their latest single and I defy anyone to resist singing along with its soaring chorus.

  4. Jewaira... I've been meaning to ask you about that for weeks. Glad you liked it.

Mushi.. I'm familiar with Michael Buble but haven't got around to getting any of his stuff yet, except for his version of White Christmas which I downloaded. I also love his version of the 60's Spiderman theme as featured in the SpiderMan 2 soundtrack.

  7. Welcome aboard Emirienne (cool name!)... anyone can blog here, nationality is not a requirement.

I did post about my trip to Dubai, it was in Arabic.. and I was going to post some pictures but there were more pressing events that week ;-)

  8. Can't get enough of Aberfeldy!! I was looking for a music revolution..I think I found it thanks to your playlists Z:D (big cheesy smile from love is an arrow - even though not in love - not even close:P)...

p.s. since I'm new here dont mind my ignorance, where can we search for other cool blogspots? or is it a more word-of-mouth thing...

    cheers!

  9. Emirienne... a good start would be the list of blogs that I have on the right. Most are Kuwaiti blogs though..

  10. KT Tunstall - Black Horse and the Cherry Tree is a great choice. I've been trying to limewire is. Too bad Virgin is not what it seems to be. It looks like a huge Video club, nothing new except J.Lo's cd.

    VIRGIN SUCKS!

  12. What are these blogs all about anyway? I was surfing looking for as seen on tv pasta when I ended up here. Back to the relentless searching for as seen on tv pasta.
