Playlist September 29 - October 5

  1. آخر ايام الصيفية - فيروز: It's bizarre how this almost perfect weather is considered "end of summer" for many Kuwaitis, whereas it's the height of summer for other countries. And all this nonsense about diseases and صفري just gets on my nerves!
  2. Jamie Cullum - Catch The Sun: From his new album, this is a great cover of one my favorite songs.
  3. X-press 2 feat. Kurt Wagner - Give It: From the folks who gave us the club classic "Lazy" with David Byrne, this is a welcome return with a gospel flavored dance track, featuring husky vocals from Mr. Wagner.
  4. The Dandy Warhols - All the Money or the Simple Life Honey: No other band can make a horn section sound so cool on top of its guitars. Does anyone have the movie "Dig!" on DVD? I would appreciate a copy.
  5. Cowboy Junkies - Sweet Jane: Dreamy and sublime!

This week's classic rock pick, is The Ramones "I Wanna Be Sedated". Can I be please be sedated until Eid?

  1. this has to be my favourite play list to date Zaydoun :)... Just brilliant!

  2. You actually listened! you actually did :)

  3. Hey, did you hear about CBGB losing their lease? They're campaigning to stay open. It would be a shame to lose such a historical site!

  4. Purg.. Of course I listened. Because you actually made a request, instead of just complaining!

Sarah.. It's the end of an era! I was sad when the Bottom Line closed last year. This is even more of a shame

  5. Heheheh and I have been listening to آخر ايام الصيفية all week :)

  6. Cullum is performing here soon
    ( Oct. 11 - Irving Plaza)
