- Zero 7 - Throw It All Away: The new single, with a 70's California sound perfect for drives to the beach. I say that about a lot of songs, don't I?
- Muse - Supermassive Black Hole: A very different sound from the usually operatic Muse. They loosened up and got some funk, a cross between Prince and Queen.
- Absentee - Something To Bang: Sinister vocals mixed with campy horns make this "ode to sexual frustration" a guilty delight.
- Red Hot Chili Peppers - Snow (Hey Oh): Their sprawling new double-album is full of great tunes, but for now this is the one on heavy rotation on my iPod.
- Breaks Co-Op - The Sound Inside: Crosby, Stills & Nash for the 21st century. Brilliant low-key album.
This week's classic comes from Fairuz and ســكــن الــلــيــل

ReplyDeleteIt seems that you are an expert in music so I need your help. I have downloaded a song called (Law bas fi aeni) for Cereen Abd Noor and I think she is Lebanese or Egyptian female singer from some sites like TARAB.COM but the problem always there is cut off in the middle of the song. Do you know were else I could find the song without the cut off.
Thanks..
Ohhhh Sakan el Lail my favourite - the only song by Fairouz that has fairies in it :)

ReplyDeletewww.6arab.com usually has the complete songs with no cut off, but the download is in Real Player format.
