I believe that Haiku is supposed to be 5-7-5, yours is 3-3-6. It's supposed to be about nature (which I think you included with your reference to the heat) and have a surprise ending. Anyways, it was nice and had a ring to it. You may want to take a rest if it is that hot. Chan'ad the other day said the power goes out. Do you suffer the same?
I would like to see a map of Kuwait. I know it's off the edge of the peninsula but not sure where exactly. I'll check my atlas too. What is the capital? What's your dollar like compared to US$ (I'll make the conversion to Canadian dollars myself if you can't find the exact figures).
You mention you're a hopeless romantic, could we meet? Or perhaps the "smartass" in you will get in the way. I've never been to Kuwait, the farthest east I've gone is to Switzerland and that was to change planes and get to Barcelona. On that trip to Spain, we had a day trip to Morrocco. Perhaps I'll put it on my blog with some pictures.
Sorry, for the rambling. I just thought... well, nothing really. I did want the info though on what life is like where you live. Now that you've scared everyone with the penis building (or in reality, the cactus), do you think your tourists will come any more often?

Ibn.. I don't know anything about Haiku. The words just came out like that. But thanks for the instructions; I'll write something better next time ;-)

ReplyDeleteWell that building isn't on the list of local attractions, but if it's going to attract "tourists"... bring 'em on!!
